U-S SENATORS JOHN THUNE AND MIKE ROUNDS ARE HOPING PRESIDENT TRUMP DISCUSSES THE SOYBEAN MARKET WITH CHINA DURING THE G-20 SUMMIT. THUNE AND ROUNDS SENT A LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMP, URGING HIM TO MEET WITH THE CHINESE PRESIDENT TO REOPEN U.S. SOYBEAN EXPORTS TO CHINA. PART OF THE LETTER SAYS IF THE U-S CONTINUES TO LOSE THIS MARKET — IT COULD MEAN LOW SOYBEAN PRICES FOR A LONG TIME. SOUTH DAKOTA IS EXPECTED TO PRODUCE 275 MILLION BUSHELS OF SOYBEANS THIS YEAR. TWO-THIRDS OF THAT IS TYPICALLY EXPORTED TO CHINA.
