Karen Food – How to make vegetarian Chickpea Salad


Today I´m going to make chickpea salad. Here are the ingredients I´m going to use. Tomatoes. I like tomatoes a lot. Red onion, garlic, chick peas, Black pepper, salt, sugar And the last ingredient is cilantro. Some people don´t like cilantro, so if you don´t like cilantro you don´t need to add it in the salad. I like cilantro 🙂 So I´m going to add it in my salad. I chopped my vegetables in small slices. First thing I´m going to do is mash my chickpeas. One thing i forget to mention here is vegetable oil. After I mashed my chickpeas, I´m going to add the vegetables. I then season with pepper, a little bit of sugar and salt to taste. Some people like Kidney beans, so you can also use Kidney beans instead of chickpeas if you want. Add red onion, tomatoes and garlic together into the bowl with chick peas. Add 3-4 tablespoons of vegetable oil . Stir well. Add cilantro to the bowl, stir well to combine. I´m going to add Roasted Onion to my salad. You don´t need to add roasted onion if you don´t like it. Those that don´t like sugar don´t need to add it to their salad. I´m adding just a little bit og sugar. Those that like spicy foods can add some chilly flakes. Now my Chick peas salad is done. I´m gonna taste it now, how does it taste? It´s delicious. I don´t need to add any more seasoning. For those that eat vegetarian food this chickpea salad is good.
