Do you wana use this as like mixed greens? – Oh, like spinach. – You like spinach, how
much you want, that much? – Yeah that much. Now do you want to cut the mushroom? – You wana cut the mushroom, yeah? Just one? – A couple more. – So right now we have a carrot. We have a pepper. – A pepper. – And then we have mushrooms. – I’ll just choose one tomato, the other tomato, the last tomato, and the fourth tomato. (laughs) Four tomatoes. – I think we might be on our way to something edible. – Do you want me to eat one? – You can, but we need one for the salad. (chewing) Do you wana cut these? Can I cut these? – Sure. Wait, I was using that knife but if you wana use it that’s fine. – Okay, thank you. Do you remember how to peel it? Watch your fingers. – See? – Yeah, let’s try peeling away. Like that. – Whoa. – Yeah, there you go. – Are you a magician? – I am a magician. – Well if you’re a cooker
and you’re a magician, that’s kind of cool. Cooking tip. Watch your fingers when
you’re peeling carrots. – Yeah. (laughs) (snaps carrot) – Oh that was easy. – Easy enough. That one might be a little bit harder. (karate chops carrot) – Ouch. (mumbles) – Cucumber is a perfect ingredient. Good idea for a salad. – Cucumber, cucumber! – You gotta cut it into a size that somebody can fit in their mouth. – Like this is even kinda
big, do you wana cut it? – If we had that, then would be good and adding an onion. – An onion would be good. – Onions, onions. Good to the onions. And this is ripped, onions! (cutting onions) – So Ernie, Ima show you
something really quick. – Wait. Avocado. – We can add avocado, that is the perfect salad ingredient. – You guys all have to a bite if I try the avacado salad. – [Woman] Deal. – You gotta spin the avocado. – Spin the avocado. – Whoa! – Boom! Wait, you wana see a trick? – Can I eat a bite? – Sure. (bites avocado) Mmm. I think you just ate the skin though. You can put that in there. (drops food in bowl) Nice. – I love avocado. – Let me get a spoon. – How about three cheetos? – Maybe like, three handfuls? – Two… – I’m gonna cut up this
avocado though, okay? – Four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve! – Twelve. – Twelve cheetos. – That’s a good number. (eating cheetos) You wana cut this? – I love cheetos. – Me too. Watch. See you kinda cut it, square like that. And then you get like this, crazy… – Oh no, all the dumped avocado! – [Woman] Hey Ernie, what do you pour on top of a salad? (grabs bottle) – Chocolate sauce (laughs). – [Woman] Let’s make
Ernie’s Special Dressing. – Make my Special Dressing? That would be bananas. – Do you wana do a banana dressing? – Yeah. I am a banana, a happy little banana. – How do you open a banana, Ernie? Like a primate, definitely a primate. – One from bent, one from peel. – That was better than any
way I could have shown you. – Can I just make two slices? One for the guest and one… (eats banana) – Alright. (mumbles) Do you wana a banana in the salad? Or do you want it in the dressing? (eating) – In the dressing. – In the dressing, alright. So Ima pull it out. Can you mash this banana with this fork, like that? You can use your fingers I won’t be upset. – Mash, mash. My tiny bananas, mash, mash. – Gotta mash it though, at the same time. – Wait, can I try this? (takes a bite) – You just did. – What is this? – It’s crab with a “k”. – [Woman] It’s fake crab, Ernie. – Yeah. You like it, looks like. Do you wana add some to your salad? – That’s a great idea. – Yeah. – We could choose 6 or 7, which amount? – Seven. Yeah, that’s luckier. (woman laughing) (eating) – I would try 7 bites. (biting crab) (laughs) And one for the guest. – Thanks. – Oh wait, there’s one more. – Yep, perfect. – Let’s make the dressing. – But when we’re making a dressing ya gotta have something sour. What’s sour? – I have a good idea. How about lemon juice? – That’s a good one, you wana do that? And also, a lemon. (woman laughs) Sour and lemon juice. Yep, definitely a lemon. – Wana do a lemon? – Mhm. – So, you wana squeeze this one? – Okay. – Here squeeze it through my hand. Squeeze, squeeze,
squeeze, squeeze, squeeze. Yeah, He-man. You know the Hulk? – Hulk that lemon. – Ernie smash, sour! (grunts) (laughs) What is that? – That’s pepper. Do you like pepper? – I love pepper. – You wana crack some pepper in there? – Yeah. – [Woman] You have to
twist the top, Ernie. – This way. Makes that crack noise. There you go, keep going. – Yep. – Wait, I need some vinegar. – You want some balsamic? Point it right in there. (pours vinegar) Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. (laughs) – Oopsie daisy. – Oopsie daisy. (man laughs) Alright, now we’re gonna add this. I’m gonna stir, this while you pour this into here. – But we’re not doing too much. – This is true. We’re gonna just do,
just the right amount. (stirs) – That’s better. – More than that. You put a lot of vinegar in there so we’re gonna have to compensate for that in some way. Make sure it’s going into the bowl though. There ya go. Alright, we’ll call that good. (pours) Good, lift, quick! No, lift! Okay, we’re good. (man laughs) Yay! – [Man] That’s good. – Ahhhhh. – Wait, little bit. (tastes dressing) – Tasty. (laughs) I put together. – Okay, go. (pours dressing) – [Man] That’s enough! – Just a little bit. (man laughing) – You know, it was a
delicious vinegarette. So, I think it’s still gonna be good. – Shazam. Our last thing is, my tasty, spicy ingredient. (tastes salad) My insides are broken. – Are broken? (man laughs loudly) (eats salad) – You like it? – I do, I would eat this. Best salad ever. – Do you wana try some? – [Woman] Yeah, can I try some?
